FOXO4-DRI nasal is a peptide antagonist designed to reverse ageing effects in animals by selectively inducing apoptosis in senescent cells.

In addition to correcting the effects of ageing, the FOXO4 gene aids in tumour suppressive function.

It may extend the lifespan of the elderly and perhaps reduce dementia.

DHT primarily causes hair loss. This molecule is formed by the male hormone dihydrotestosterone, which is produced by the body. DHT binds to a dikaryon-homologous protein as it travels down the hair follicle shaft on the scalp. This protein dissociates into two strands to create the DHT-inhibiting enzyme of the hair follicle. As a result, DHT is present at the surface of hair follicles and works to decrease hair growth.

DHT is problematic for the scalp because it “bumps” a small protein called FHRP, which attaches itself to hair follicles’ roots. It leads to hair loss. DHT inhibits hair growth and initiates hair thinning when it binds to FHRP.

According to findings from studies on FOXO4-DRI Peptide, in mice and rats treated with FOXO4-DRI, an increase in scalp blood flow has been recorded. As a result, the hair follicles also benefit, as an enhanced supply of nutrients and growth hormones promotes their growth. Thus, the proteins in the follicles swell, and the DHT-blocking enzyme reduces hair loss, avoiding hair thinning and hair loss.

In contrast to other molecules, such as melanocortin receptors, that have a protective effect against DHT, melanocortin receptors do not possess this property.
