Additionally, PNC-27 has been explored as a potential tool for early cancer diagnosis. One study focused on PNC-27 peptide conjugated PEI-superparamagnetic iron oxide nanoparticles (SPIONs) as a double targeting agent for the early diagnosis of cancer [3].

In vitro and in vivo studies have also been conducted to examine the efficacy of PNC-27 against colon adenocarcinoma and ovarian cancer. These studies have shown promising results, pointing to the potential of PNC-27 peptide as an efficient alternative treatment for these types of cancers [4].
